Two Tarot Spreads to Try (Nervous System Regulation & Sexual Healing)

Many of you know me as a sexuality coach, or a trauma resolution guide.

In this past year, I’ve started to let more and more of my spiritual stripes show, and these days, I’m focusing more on intuitive readings with clients (tarot/oracle/astrology/channeling).

In high school and college—a few short 30 years ago or whatever—I became obsessed with spirituality and religion. I took every Liberal Arts class I could get my hands on, from Taoism to Gnosticism to Religions of Ancient Empires. I’m still fascinated and inspired by how people understand and connect to God. My spiritual study never stopped; as a sexuality coach I was enamored with tantra and using sexuality as a gateway to the Divine.

My increased focus on intuitive readings doesn’t negate the years I spent studying trauma resolution or nervous system regulation, or even sexuality.

All of that study finds itself nestled in the readings I give. Readings include practices, meditations, and everything I’ve learned in the 13 years I’ve been “spiritually awakened” (side note: I seem to be amidst spiritual awakening #2, which I did not know was an option; I’ll write about my newfound relationship with Christian music and Jesus Christ soon. Was very surprised He stopped by).

Today I offer you two ways to use your Tarot:

1) for calm in turbulent times, and/or

2) for insight into your sexuality.

The Tarot Spreads
Set sacred space with deep breaths, a lit candle, and envision sweeping your energy field (yes, you can envision a broom, or even a Dyson). Shuffle your deck and state your intention. “I am a clear vessel for Divine Wisdom. I bow to my human experience, and ask what’s in my highest and best to know.”

Nervous System Regulation Spread:

  1. What’s the true source of my stress or dysregulation?

  2. What’s an anchor card that can support my peace and calm?

  3. What am I meant to learn from this situation?

Sexual Healing Tarot Spread

  1. What archetype best represents where I am on my sexual journey? (Separate your major arcana cards out from the rest of your deck, and pull just from these cards.)

  2. What’s an anchor card to support my sexual thriving at this moment? (Go back to using the full deck, and remember, sexual thriving can look like a pause, rest, or trauma healing period.)

  3. What am I meant to know about my sexuality in this season?

Keep it simple, and meditate or journal on each card as though you’re an objective witness (rather than the one asking the question) to really grok the lesson from each card.

Need more insight into a frustrating question or issue? I would LOVE to assist with a reading.
